Australia names squad to face Silver Ferns

The Australian Diamonds have named nine players from their gold medal-winning Netball World Cup team to face the Silver Ferns in the New World Netball Series for the Constellation Cup.

Tickets for the New World Netball Series for the Constellation Cup (New Zealand leg) will go on sale to the public at 9am tomorrow, Friday 4 September – GET TICKETS

The extended 15-player squad for October’s four-Test Constellation Cup is without three of its biggest names following the retirements of defenders Julie Corletto and Rebecca Bulley, and the international retirement of vice-captain Kim Green. This has paved the way for four debutants; the uncapped Gretel Tippett, Ashleigh Brazill, Gabi Simpson and Joanna Weston.

The four-Test Series will see the Silver Ferns host the first two matches at Horncastle Arena, Christchurch (October 20) and Vector Arena, Auckland (October 22), before they cross the Tasman for the final matches in Melbourne (October 25) and Perth (October 30).

This will be the first time fans can see the Silver Ferns and Australian Diamonds in action since the Gold Medal Match at Netball World Cup SYDNEY 2015.

After strong ticket sales during this week’s exclusive SilverFans pre-sale special offer, fans are encouraged to get in early to avoid disappointment with remaining tickets expected to sell quickly.
