Counting down - Netball’s greatest rivalry returns

For 78 years the Silver Ferns and Australian Diamonds have taken to the court with one goal in mind – victory.

History will tell us that the game has changed greatly since that first Test Match between Netball’s powerhouses in 1938.

But one thing is for sure – the rivalry has stood the test of time and is one that keeps fans and sports enthusiasts riveted year after year.

Netball’s greatest rivalry will return to New Zealand shores in October for the final two Tests of the New World Netball Series for the Constellation Cup.

The four-Test Series will see the Diamonds host the first two matches in Sydney (Oct 9) and Launceston (Oct 12), before they cross the Tasman for the final matches in Auckland (Oct 15) and Invercargill (Oct 20).
