The votes have been counted and the fans have had their say – Kayla Cullen is your Woman’s Day People’s Choice for 2015.

Cullen made the wing defence bib her own at Netball World Cup SYDNEY 2015 terrorising opposition wing attacks with her dogged determination and ability to turn a game on its head.

Making her return from a knee reconstruction, Cullen found her feet during the ANZ Championship with the SKYCITY Mystics, warming to the task week-by-week in the more familiar position of goal defence.

But come the New World Netball Series for the Taini Jamison Trophy she found the WD on her chest and with it came a strong resolve to cement her spot in the starting line-up.

In a season littered with personal highlights, she counts the Silver Ferns victory over Australia in Pool Play at NWC2015 – also the SKY Sport Moment of the Year – as the standout.

Lost for words, Cullen thanked her fans for their unwavering support.

“Just having all the support from my fans and New Zealand is awesome to know,” Cullen said.

“It’s just amazing; I don’t have any words. I just want to thank all my fans - thank you so much for this award.

“Thank you to everyone who has been part of my Netball career so far; everyone who has been part of the journey. I couldn’t have done it without you, especially my parents and family.”
