Silver Ferns drop in world rankings

The Silver Ferns have dropped to number three in the world following the latest International Netball Federation World Rankings release.
Recent results at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games have seen New Zealand leapfrogged by England who are now placed second behind world number one Australia.
The Silver Ferns are looking to turn their fortunes with a strong performance at the upcoming Netball Quad Series against Australia, England and South Africa.
The INF World Rankings are based on a points system calculated by a formula providing an average across all teams. Ratings are most heavily weighted on recent form, with points allocated on a decreasing scale across a period of two years.
