The Constellation Cup starts tonight
Arriving in Invercargill on Monday morning, the Ferns team know they need a markedly better performance in all areas of their game if they are to beat the high-flying Diamonds team, set on asserting their dominance and eyeing up their sixth consecutive win over the home side.
Invercargill’s ILT Stadium Southland is where the New Zealander’s will have a chance for redemption with the Netball World Cup less than one year away, In Sydney.
The Diamonds have named a very similar team to the one which won gold two months ago, so the challenge is there for the Silver Ferns. Twelve months ago, it was the New Zealanders who had the better of the Australians in Invercargill, and the Ferns have four matches as part of the Constellation Cup to stop the Australian momentum.
