FAN-tastic morning at FanFEST!

The Silver Ferns were the star attraction at Netball World Cup SYDNEY 2015’s FanFEST this morning.
Over 1000 fans packed into FanFEST to catch a glimpse of the team, while also having the opportunity to get a selfie or a signature.
Vice-captain Laura Langman says it is great to say thanks to the fans that help to make NWC2015 such a memorable event.
“It is amazing. The energy here – it’s just buzzing in Sydney! FanFEST has been a great way to engage with fans because some have come a long way to watch us play,” Langman said.
“We have a really strong Kiwi contingent that has come over. They’re just as passionate about the game as we are.
“They pass every pass and shoot every goal with us. As long as we’re having the time of our lives, they’ll be so we need to make sure we keep that going.”
Never seen before at a Netball World Cup, in this size and scale, FanFEST is the ultimate fan social hub, activity home, play zone, meeting point and entertainment home of NWC2015.
Fans can deck themselves out in their team colours at MEGA MERCH, as well as try a variety of fun and interaction games and activities.
“I told mum to come down and buy me some long socks from MEGA MERCH, so I’ve got them waiting for me which I’m quite excited about,” she said laughing.
And as for interactive displays – Laura loves a good lip sync challenge and suggesting that she and Shannon Francois should have a go at ‘Shake it off’ by Taylor Swift! Now that’s something SilverFans would love to see!
Today is a rest day for Silver Ferns, which means no games. Further details about their matches on Days 5-8 will be available at the close of play tonight – information coming soon…
