Special gift for our Silver Ferns

Jodi Brown receives her gift from Danessa Lemalu. The stunning piece of jewellery was handcrafted by local jewellers Zlato-On-Parnell.
The Silver Ferns and management team will each be taking a small piece of New Zealand with them when they depart for Netball World Cup SYDNEY 2015.
The team were presented with individualised silver Koru necklaces by 19 SilverFans at a post-match ceremony on Tuesday night.
Silver Ferns Team Doctor, Dr Mark Fulcher and Strength and Conditioning specialist Stephen Hotter both received matching cufflinks.
Each of the Koru necklaces were handcrafted by local jewellers Zlato-On-Parnell and individually engraved with their Silver Fern player numbers.
Silver Ferns shooter Jodi Brown says the gifts are a special memento for the team.
“It [the gifts] are really special…it’s got our player number on it too so something we can keep and pass down to the kids,” Brown said after the presentation.
“It’s a sense of belonging…there have only been 158 Silver Ferns which is not many, and to have our own number is special.”
