South Canterbury goal attack Frances Granger made her Silver Ferns debut on the 1974 tour to England and was re-selected the following year for the fourth edition of the Netball World Cup held in Auckland.
A bundle of energy and enthusiasm on the court, Granger was all arms and legs which made her a difficult opponent to mark. Opposing defenders struggled with Granger’s key asset, her unpredictability, which was hard to read.
An accurate shooter and great team member, Granger spent much of her international career playing alongside Beth Huntington.
