Rotorua goal shoot Frances Webster was renowned for her impressive long arm span during her time in the Silver Ferns teams of 1969 and 1970-71. With her vision and awareness of space, she could reel in ball from great distance with her exemplary finger/hand control.
A clever dodger in the circle, Webster was also an extremely accurate shooter to compliment her high all-round skill set.
She played in the two-Test home series against Australia in 1969 while also being a member of the 1970-71 Silver Ferns team which finished runners-up at the third Netball World Cup in Jamaica.
