Young circle defender, Storm Purvis, was a talented 400m and 800m track runner growing up and has used that athletic ability to etch out an impressive record on the Netball court. Her speed around the court sees her roaming for turnovers at goal defence while her strength in the air makes Purvis a key rebounder for any team she plays for. Purvis shows a maturity with her ability to read the game in her defensive role, while her leadership skills were recognised when she captained the New Zealand under-21 team to victory at the World Youth Cup in 2013.
